Founded in 1998, the Dartmouth Subtleties are known as a musically talented group of independent women who emphasize innovative arrangements and creative performances. Extensive choreography, new sounds, colorful costumes, and uproarious skits have all become part of the Subtleties' signature. We perform at a variety of venues, including Greek houses, charity events, and Dartmouth's Spaulding auditorium. Our repertoire includes everything from Michael Jackson to Carrie Underwood to Ingrid Michaelson. We succeed in performing songs that would not be considered typical a cappella fare, and strive to break the mold and define for ourselves what we think a cappella should be. We look for members that bring a new perspective, creativity, and spunk to the group. Look out for the release of our new CD and updates of our fall tour to San Francisco!
